HealthTrust Europe signs with Toyota Feb 7, 2012: Healthcare procurement group HealthTrust Europe (HTE) has signed a deal with Toyota Logistics. The company which is owned by HCA Hospitals and its large US procurement arm HealthTrust Purchasing (and so by KKR and Blackstone) has also launched CoreTrust Europe which provides procurement to KKR and Blackstone companies across Europe, such as Hilton Hotels and Alliance Boots and is interested in talking to other private equity-backed ventures. We talk to chief executive Jonathan Wedgbury.

Capio Sandidad close to deal with Ribera Salud Feb 6, 2012: We hear that Capio Sanidad has all but reached agreement to buy Ribera Salud which has stakes in Valencia and Madrid administrative concession hospitals. And it is likely that more Valencia hospitals and four in Castile La Mancha will by moved to the administrative concession model.
