Interest payments which wipe out tax coupled to huge profits and massive returns on equity characterise the Swedish private healthcare sector according to a report from the Svenska Dagbladet newspaper based on 2009 returns. Our sources say “you ain’t seen nothing yet” - profitability and sales surged in 2010 with the number of patients choosing private primary care providers surging from 2-3% a few years ago to 32%.
