Sparks are flying at Povisa, a large general hospital in Vigo, which is privately owned by shipping group Nosa Terra 21, and which gets 80% of its sales from Sergas, the public payor for the Galician healthcare region. The two sides are fighting over pricing and there are threats of massive staff lay offs. Povisa has accused Sergas of deliberately destabilising the hospital.
