OECD paper provides great overview

We don’t often refer readers to academic papers, but we’ve just come across one which gives a clear picture of what is happening across Europe, particularly how to bridge the divide between healthcare and care as the recession hits spending.
Health Sector Innovation and Partnership: Policy Responses for the New Economic Context which was presented on June 22 2011 at an OECD conference in Paris, also looks at some interesting Dutch private providers and does some blue sky thinking on how payment mechanisms are changing. The 23 page document is well worth a read.
