IMF/EU package to hit Portuguese

The EUR78bn IMF/EU rescue package for Portugal has already stipulated changes which will force private operators to rethink their business model, says Paulo Fradinho, a health expert at Mercer. They include big changes to schemes which allow over 1m civil servants to access private healthcare at low rates. Major groups like Jose de Mello and Espirito Santo are holding their breath ahead of a neck and neck general election on June 5.
