Healthways wins Sophia

US chronic disease management player Healthways has ousted Health Dialog, the BUPA subsidiary on the huge French Sophia diabetes project run by statutory insurer CNAMTS which covers 84% of the French population.  We talk to Giles Tomsett about the programme, which is the largest in Europe, and the prospects for chronic disease management programmes in Europe.
