It is very rare that you come across a service company peddling something that is completely new. The Fun Fed in London does just that. The idea is that many adults don't have much fun. So you can book 90 minutes of singing, games or dance for £7. 90 minutes of laughter, relaxation and childhood. OK, it is only marginally about health - although laughter has been shown to be important, but what an idea!

I mean why would you want to sit in front of the telly, or go out for a drink, when you could be doing 90 minutes of penguin games, morris dancing or Jewish chanting?  So far, The Fun Fed only has a single centre, but it strikes me that almost any European city with a reasonably affluent middle class who doesn't know what to do with themselves in the evening (that's 90% of us, isn't it?) could support one.

You think I'm mad, don't you?  So just watch it on Youtube.

Don't you want to know what laughter yoga is before you die?
