Medical factoring is big business in Italy

A lot of the €60bn of outstanding Italian public sector debt stems from shortfalls and delays in the annual healthcare budget of €112bn. That is why the RBS Special Opportunities Fund backed a 2007 healthcare-focussed factoring start up SF Trust, and why it has just added specialist healthcare debt collector Solvi to the group. We talk to the managers of the fund about the Italian healthcare market and other opportunities.
