Tim Clover is chief executive at Moonray Healthcare, which manages balance sheet healthcare investments for fund group Fidelity International. Moonray has invested £50m to date creating Optegra, which it plans to grow into an international chain of opthalomology centres. Most of the money has already gone on five clinics in the UK and the purchase of Augentis GmbH, a chain of four outlets in Germany. Clover has plans for China and thinks other sectors of ambulatory surgery hold similar promise to ophthalmology. Previously, Tim was Vice President EMEA for Eyecare with Allergan and a founder of Advanced Medical Optics, which was spun off from Allergan and listed on the New York Stock Exchange in June 2002.
