Expect major reforms in the Netherlands

The new Dutch government has said it will legislate to allow hospitals to pay dividends to shareholders, move home healthcare and rehabilitation into the aegis of mutual insurers and make the care home market more competitive by giving administration to the insurers. These moves are likely to go a long way towards creating a freer market for healthcare services in the Netherlands.
