Self-referral ban to free up huge new market

The German lab market for private operators should soar in 2014 when specialists will be forbidden from carrying out their own tests. Arne Hartmann at General Atlantic, an investor in Almedes, a big German lab group, reckons that no fewer than €1bn of tests are self-referred in this way.
