Just how profitable are big diagnostic lab groups in Europe? It is a good question given that rationalization and consolidation should be able to produce massive profitability. And it seems that they can. A reliable source told Healthcare Europa: “Medhold, the Flemish group sold to Sonic had managed to push its EBITDA margin up to 46% before it was sold in January.”
