Hospital privatisation takes off in Poland

Small- to mid-sized hospitals are being quietly privatised in Poland. The three main groups have privatised 20 and we think a further 10-20 will have gone to single site operators. Market leader Grupa Know How now has 12 hospitals in its Grupa Nowy Szpital (New Hospital Group) and 2009 sales of PLN140m.
